Why this site exists

Chain hotels have revenue management systems and analysts. Most independent hotels, guesthouses and small groups run on spreadsheets. hotels.tools gives owners, general managers and revenue managers quick answers to everyday questions: what an OTA booking really nets, the occupancy needed to break even, how many housekeeping hours tomorrow needs, or what a catering event should be quoted at.

How the calculators work

• Every calculation runs in your browser. Inputs are not sent to a server and you need no account.
• Each tool page shows the formula it uses and a worked example, so you can check the result by hand.
• Results are estimates for planning. They depend on your inputs and don't replace your accountant or a full revenue management system.
• Rates such as taxes, per diem and commission ranges change. Each page notes what it assumes; verify current figures before contractual or tax decisions.

Who is behind it

hotels.tools is built and edited by Mussie Haile at Guiding-Ventures, a Berlin company that works on marketing and direct-booking growth for hotels. Full legal details are in the Site Notice.

The tools are free and are funded by advertising (Google AdSense) and by our optional marketing consultation. Ads never change what a calculator returns.
